The Jordan Design and Trade Center was established as one of the Nour Al Hussein Foundation projects in the year 1990. It was aimed as a source creating stable income and employment opportunities for the underprivileged members of society especially women. The center strives to preserve ancient traits of craft making. The crafts produced by the center form a visual reflection of centuries worth of dynamic cultural heritage. The center strives to produce products of optimum quality. The products produced by the center include embroidered home furnishings, hand woven floor and wall carvings, classical and contemporary glass wear, ceramics, basketry, jewelry, furniture. and lots more. The Jordan deigns and trade center is a non-profit organization aimed at improving the social status in the country through art.
