The 3rd Annual Souk Ukaz Fest will be launched in Amman Jordan on the 1st of September 2003. The event is to be held under the patronage of Her Royal Highness Queen Rania Al Abdullah. For this year Souk Ukaz is to embody the concepts of cultural diversity, variety, and uniqueness, for it is to hold the theme of "The Dialogue of Cultures in a Fast Changing World". The events lined up for this large scaled cultural occurrence are designed so that they promote the traits of cross cultural understanding, mutual respect, and development. The activities lined up for this event range from conferences, seminars and lectures to exhibitions, shows, and concerts. Souk Ukaz this year is to feature the participation renowned figures from the Middle East, Europe, Africa and the United States of America. Souk Ukaz has been described by its organizers as a market if Ideas, experiences, and cultural production. It is designed so that it caters to the needs of all market segments. By doing so the event remains faithful mission which is amongst other things to promote culture on a world wide scale.
