Syrian music artist George Wassouf appeared before representatives from different Arab press groups to discuss his upcoming performance at the Jerash festival of Arts and Culture for the year 2003. During the conference he spoke about the live singing experience as he stated that he was happy to sing before an Arab audiences of Jerash. He also spoke about his latest album whereby he stated that he aimed to cater to the needs of most music tastes. He was asked about his opinion on the regional music program Superstar whereby he stated that he had only attended a few episodes but was not interested to continue attending. He did however state his views on the modern regional music scene in general whereby he claimed that the Arab world suffers from the phenomenon of having too many performers, singers, and music artists to a point where the number of singers is to surpass the number of their listening. Audiences- a comment that appeared both true and humorous. During the conference George Wassouf spoke about his career, the lessons he learned from the school of life, and his upcoming performance .As an attendee I must say that his great sense of humor and his free spirit made the press conference a worth while experience.
