Zara Gallery opened its doors to an art exhibition featuring the
works of Jordanian Cartoonist Emad Hajjaj entitled Oil on Canvas.
This event was launched on Monday March 17th 2003 at 6:00pm. The
exhibit presented the works of the Jordanian Social Political Cartoonist
and gifted painter Emad Hajjaj .In his works Hajjaj captured the
common sentiments of fear and hope felt by the widest scope of Jordanian
society. His works reflected the role of a catalyst connecting the
various social communities in Jordan. His art was a reflection of
rich talent and a presentation of the strong manifestation of what
fine art defines today as pop art. This event was in line with the
mission of Zara Gallery and its commitment to the contemporary art
movements in Jordan. Zara Gallery strives to play host to many young
as well as accomplished artistic talents. It does this in the hope
of creating a rich cultural and artistic exchange functioning both
on a local as well as a regional and an international level. This
exhibit may be visited from Sunday to Thursday between the time
periods of 11:00am to 7:00pm and on Saturdays from 3:00pm to 7:00pm.
The exhibition will run until April 13th 2003. Our team provides
a full coverage of the proceedings.
