Abdel Kader Al Sheikh led the Friday prayer service at the Kalooty
Mosque on May 17th 2002. The speech preceding the prayer service was
fully devoted to providing a blueprint for what may be considered
the just and richest Islamic way of life. Sheikh Abdel Kader Al Sheikh
expressed his great dissatisfaction towards the running of the Islamic
community of today. He stated that members of the modern Islamic community
should draw upon the perfect example set by their Muslim forefathers
when conducting their daily affairs. To make his points clearer, he
claimed that Muslims should review the life stories of those figures
that have enhanced Islamic history, and use their actions and thoughts
