H.E. the Minester of Culture Mr. Haydar Mahmoud spoke before a group of university students and distinguished guests at the University of Jordan Alumni Club. His lecture was an informative and a dynamic one. It was aimed at reflecting upon the cultural scene in Jordan. The speaker reflected upon the different cultural activities taking place in Jordan on the occasion of announcing Amman as the cultural capital of the Arab World for the year 2002.The lecture was one in which the Higher Cultural Comitee of Jordan's calendar of events was highlighted. The lecture also presented an opportunity in which the spotlight was placed on the different artists' and singers, enhancing the stages of Jerash during the Jerash festival. To add To the cultured ambience making up the events proceedings H.E. Mr. Haydar Mahmoud read to the audience selections from his innovative poetic creations.
