The Jordanian television station (JTV) started its
broadcasting services in April 1968 with four hours of daily programming
in Black and white. In 1972 (JTV) became one of the first television
stations in the area to operate a second channel specializing in
the transition of foreign programmers. In 1974 (JTV) started transmitting
all its programs in color via PAL & B systems.
In
our present day JTV transmits its programmers to a large geographical
area including Jordan, Syria, Palestine, Northern Saudi Arabia,
and South Lebanon. JTV in our present day also merged the programming
of both its channels into one. With the addition of a satellite
channel. In the Jordanian television channels programmers are transmitted
in Arabic, English and French.
Radio
programmers are transmitted in English and French via two broadcasting
stations.
There
are many newspapers published in the country, but the three major
