A high percentage of the Jordanian population is Arabic speaking.
There are many regional variations in the spoken form of Arabic
used within the country. In addition to the dialect-based distinctions
in the language there is a clear difference between the spoken and
the written form of Arabic.

of the Jordanian population is Sunni Muslim. The Christian community
forms a large portion of the remaining population in the country.
Most Christians in Jordan either follow the Greek Orthodox or the
Roman Catholic faith. Other Christian sects in Jordan include the
Greek Catholics also known as the "Melchitis" and the
Catholics of the Byzantine rite. Both sects follow the leadership
of the Roman Catholic Pope/. There is also a small community in
Jordan that follows the Syrian orthodox or Jacobite church. Most
non-Arab Christians are Armenians. Most Armenians in Jordan follow
the Gregorian or the Armenian Orthodox Church. A smaller percentage
of the Armenian community follows the Armenian Catholic Church.
There are also some protestant damnation within the Christian community
in Jordan however they only form a small part of the entire Christian
population of the country.
There
are some Shiite Muslims in Jordan .The Shiite communities include
the "Druze" and the "Bahai". The "Druze"
forms a very small percentage of the Jordanian population.
